We work inside institutions.
Not around them

SRM Foundation is the social impact arm of the SRM Group. A Section 8 not-for-profit incorporated in 2021, built on the belief that India’s education and healthcare institutions don’t need to be replaced. They need to be strengthened from within, with the same rigour and commitment that built the SRM Group’s own institutions over four decades.

India's institutions serve the majority of its people. They deserve the best of what we know how to build.

Healthcare systems, skill centres, and schools are not second-best institutions. They are the institutions that most of India depends on every day. Our work is to make them function better. Not by building parallel systems, but by working within the ones already there.
We have learned three things from doing this work. You have to work with institutions, not around them. Local leadership inside every institution understands their reality better than we ever will — they must be at the centre of every intervention. And you move forward with what is possible rather than waiting for what is perfect.
